GOVERNING BODY
We are delighted to introduce the Governing Body of Coteford Infant School.
As governors we are responsible for:
- ensuring the clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction of the school;
- overseeing the financial performance of the school;
- holding the Headteacher to account for the performance of the school and its pupils.
The Governing Body vision is that the children at Coteford Infant School have 'an outstanding school in which to learn and grow'. Collaboratively, as staff and governors we are passionate in our drive to make this happen.
Our Governing Body consists of 10 members made up of parent governors, staff governors and co-opted governors. We also have 1 associate governor. This ensures diversity and enables us to be both the supportive and the questioning friend. We currently have vacancies on our Governing Body.
The Full Governing Body meets at least once each term to discuss the outcomes from the following committees:
- Quality of Education
- Finance and Resources Committee
- Safeguarding, Premises, Health and Safety are reviewed throughout the year.
- Personnel Commitee - annually as required
Each governor with a named responsibility will report to their committee team. Each committee reports to the Full Governing Body that has overall responsibility for the governance of the school.

As governors we attend and support most events at the school and are always happy to talk to parents and staff. If you would like to ask any questions or provide any feedback please contact us through the school office email address: office@cotefordinfantschool.co.uk
