Online Safety
At Coteford Infant School we understand the responsibility we have to educate our pupils on e-safety issues. In a world where technology is expanding rapidly, and as technology continues to provide great opportunities in learning, we recognise the importance to equip children with the skills and knowledge to use technology appropriately and responsibly. Throughout the school, children are taught how to identify risks when using technology in school and in their homes. We embed online safety into the curriculum by teaching children:
- how to use supervised blog spaces and forums appropriately on our online learning environment DB Primary.
- how to recognise online risks and how to respond to them.
- why they need to keep information, such as their passwords private.
- why they need to be respectful and polite when they post online.
